At Proud Nerds, we place great importance on transparency and clear agreements. Below you will find our official return and refund policy for digital products. This policy applies to all digital products we provide, including software, digital downloads, templates, manuals, courses, and other digital content.
1. No right of withdrawal after direct delivery (statutory exception)
Digital products fall under the statutory exception to the right of withdrawal as referred to in Article 6:230p subsection g of the Dutch Civil Code (BW).
This means that the right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) expires once:
- the digital product has been delivered immediately, and
- the consumer has explicitly agreed to immediate delivery, and
- the consumer has acknowledged that they waive their right of withdrawal.
When purchasing our digital products, we always request this explicit consent.
After delivery of the digital product, returns or refunds are therefore generally not possible.
2. Situations in which a refund is possible
Although the statutory right of withdrawal expires, a customer may still be entitled to a refund in certain situations. Proud Nerds offers refunds in the following cases:
2.1. Technical issues that cannot be resolved
If the digital product does not function as described due to a technical issue and we:
- cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable period, or
- cannot provide a suitable alternative,
the customer is entitled to a (partial or full) refund.
2.2. Delivery errors
If the customer demonstrably receives the wrong digital product due to an error by Proud Nerds, we will provide the correct product free of charge or refund the purchase amount.
2.3. Statutory non-conformity
Pursuant to Article 7:17 of the Dutch Civil Code (BW), we supply products that meet the reasonable expectations of the customer.
If the product does not meet these expectations and repair is not reasonably possible, we will offer a refund.
3. How do you request a refund?
Customers may submit a refund request within 14 days after purchase in the following cases:
- Non-conformity
- Unresolvable technical issues
- Delivery errors

- order number
- description of the issue
- (optional) screenshots or other relevant information
We will respond within 5 business days.
4. Warranty and updates
Proud Nerds delivers digital products with care. Where applicable, we provide updates, patches, or installation assistance. Any additional warranty conditions will be stated with the specific product.
5. Business customers
Different terms may apply to business customers.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to B2B purchases, unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
